The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment will be supporting 15,000 OBC and EBC, De-Notified, Nomadic & Semi Nomadic Tribes (DNT/ SNT) to apply for the PM YASASVI Scholarship for the candidates who are studying class 9th and 11th in schools identified by the ministry. Students will be selected for the scholarship based on their merit in the YASASVI Entrance Test (YET) conducted by the National Teting Agency.

PM Yashasvi Scolarship Scheme Eligibility Criteria

• The eligibility requirements for appearing in the exam are as follows:
• Applicants should be Indian Nationals
• They should be belonging to OBC or EBC or DNT category.
• They should be studying in identified Top Class Schools.
• They should have passed Class 8 or Class 10( as the case may be) in 2021-22
• The annual income of the parents/guardian from all sources should not be morethan Rs. 2.5 lacs
• Candidate applying for Class 9 Exam should have been born between 01-04-2006 to 31-03-2010 (both days inclusive).
• Candidate applying for Class 11 Exam should have been born between 01-04-2004 to 31-03-2008 (both days inclusive).
• Both boys and girls are eligible to apply. Eligibility requirements for girls are the ame as for boys.

NTA YET Exam Pattern 2022

The YET 2022 will be conducted for award of scholarships to OBC, EBS and DNT candidates

studying in Class 9 and Class 11 in identified Top Schools .

• YET 2022 will be conducted in Computer Based Test(CBT) mode.

2.Dr. Ambedkar Education Loan Interest Subsidy Scheme 

 Introduced by the Ministry of Social Justice and Commission, this scheme finances the overseas education of scholars belonging to Other Backward Classes (OBCs) and Economically Backward Classes (EBCs). The scheme provides interest subvention to meritorious scholars serving Master’s,M.Phil., orPh.D. courses from foreign universities. 

 

Eligibility Criteria 

 The loan should be sanctioned by a bank falling below Indian Banks’Association. 

The course should fall under the orders approved. 

 In the case of OBCs, the scholars must retain OBC Caste Certificate issued by a competent authority. 

 The periodic family income shouldn't exceed INR 3 lakh for OBCs and INR 1 lakh for EBCs. 

 3. Overseas Doctoral Fellowship 

 The board will give a fellowship quantum of$ 2000 per month along with the cover of trip charges and introductory allowance. The selection of scholars will be made by the overseas institution in discussion with the SERB.

 Launched by the Ministry of Social Justice and Commission, Government of India, this scheme provides education to scholars belonging to orders of Schedules Gentries (SCs) and Slated Lines (STs). This scheme covers Master position andPh.D. position courses under the fields of 

• Engineering and Operation 
•  Pure Lores & Applied Lores 
•  Agricultural Lores and Medicine 
•  Commerce, Accounting & Finance 
•  Humanities & Social Science 

 These schemes are supporting those scholars who aren't financially sound but are impelled to take education loans. With similar salutary schemes, the government ensures that no child drops education just because of the plutocrat problem.
