WhatsApp is actively working to implement dark theme on its Android app. The company has now implemented dark flash bubbles in Android beta for Android.

WhatsApp has long been known to be working on implementing dark theme or dark mode in its Android app. In the past we have heard a number of reports that have detailed various sections that the Facebook-owned social messaging platform was reconstructing in the dark theme for its Android app. And now, a new report indicates that the company is closer than ever in rolling out dark theme on to its Android based app.




According to a report by WABetaInfo, the blog that tracks development in WhatsApp, the company has implemented dark splash screen in the beta version of its Android app. While the company hasn't officially rolled out dark theme on its Andriod based app yet, it has released the 2.19.311 update for beta testers of its Android app.

 This update, as per the blog site, brings some 'hidden details' including the dark splash screen to the app. This means that if you are using WhatsApp's beta app on your Android smartphone, you might be able to see how certain elements of the app would look when dark theme is finally implemented.
