forget the selfless acts of various freedom fighters who fought for our country and contributed in making India one of the largest democracies in the world. They fought hard for our country in many different ways, and these heroes are remembered even today for their deeds. In honour of the many Indian freedom fighters and their struggles, We celebrate Independence Day in our country to remind us, that our country and its freedom is the result of sweat, patience, persistence, and sacrifice of those with the courage to dream freedom and make it a reality for their future generations. India is celebrating its 74th Independence Day today with great fervor and enthusiasm. Dressed in a white kurta-pyjama and a colourful turban, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was received by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh at the Red Fort. He then inspected Guard of Honour. The Prime Minister then unfurled the Tricolour at the ramparts of the Red Fort. This was followed by the national anthem and a 21-gun salute. The duration of the 21-gun salutes coincides with the length of the national anthem which is 52 seconds.
