Secretariat
In several people’s opinion, the Secretariat is the best racehorse of all time. The chestnut colt was born in Virginia’s Caroline nation in March 1970. Between 1972 and 1973, the Secretariat won sixteen races out of twenty one. He even won the Triple Crown, Marlboro Cup, Horse of the Year award in year 1972 and 1973 and 5 Eclipse Awards.
Man o’ War
Born in year 1917 in Kentucky, Man o’ War was affectionately even called the Big Red. Man o’ War was a brilliant racehorse who conquered several racing events like Keene Memorial Stakes, Tremont Stakes, Jockey Club Gold Cup and Preakness and Belmont Stakes. During his racing career, he acquired an astounding amount of 2,49,465 US dollars.
Arkle
Born in year 1957, the golden years of Arkle were 1964-1966. The Arkle was trained in the Ireland and during his peak period; he won many roll of honour like the Cheltenham Gold Cup, King George VI Chase, Hennessy Gold Cup, Irish Grand National, Leopard stown Chase and Whit bread Gold Cup. In those days, he was the best steeple chaser and was popular for never falling.
Zenyatta
While the above 3 horses were stallions (male), Zenyatta was a mare (female). A legendary horse , Zenyatta, was named the best filly of all time by the world-famous magazine Sports Illustrated. Out of 20 career starts, Zenyatta conquered 19 races and in 2010, she was awarded the American Horse of the Year title. Before retiring, Zenyatta achieved a significant amount of 7,304,580 US dollars.
Kincsem
Born in year 1874, Kincsem hailed from Hungary and, to date, she is considered the most popular racehorse in Eastern Europe. Between year 1876 and 1879, Kincsem conquered a record 54 race. Her fame led her to racing events in countries like Hungary, Slovakia, Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic, France, and the UK. Last but not the least, Kincsem even won the prestigious Grosser Preis von Baden, Grand Prix de Deauville and the Goodwood Cup.
